How you'll make an impact...
You’ll be at the heart of helping Australian SMEs thrive by owning their full bookkeeping cycle—from coding multi-currency transactions to closing the month with confidence. Your attention to detail and proactive problem-solving will turn complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for clients. By streamlining processes, leveraging automation, and keeping everything accurate and up-to-date, you’ll ensure every client experience is seamless, empowering businesses to grow and succeed.
What You'll Be Doing...
Accounts Payable
Capture bills in Dext, code correctly (GST, tracking), match POs, prep payment runs, and reconcile the AP ledger.
Transaction Coding & Queries
Code daily bank/PSP feeds, identify anomalies, and raise clear, actionable queries with clients.
Complex Reconciliations
Manage multi-currency wallets, inventory/COGS bridges, and payment gateways to maintain accurate records.
Accounts Receivable & Credit Control
Issue invoices, send statements, and follow up on overdue balances to maintain healthy cash flow.
Month-End Close
Post accruals, prepaids, depreciation, FX revaluations, reconcile balance-sheet accounts, and lock periods.
BAS/IAS + TPAR
Prepare and lodge BAS/IAS and compile TPAR data for reportable industries.
Fixed-Asset Register
Capitalise additions, run depreciation, and reconcile assets to the GL.
Third-Party Systems & Automation
Configure and troubleshoot Xero apps and other integrations to streamline processes.
Client Communication
Communicate promptly and clearly with clients via the Visory platform to resolve queries and provide updates.
We’re looking for someone who has.
7+ years of Australian bookkeeping experience.
Advanced Xero skills (Advisor Certified) and power-user level in Dext as well as key third-party apps such as Shopify and Deputy.
Proven experience with complex reconciliations, cash-flow management, multi-currency accounting, and inventory.
Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills
Diploma of Accounting or higher qualification.
